Crick Woodlands has been created as a natural environment for everyone to enjoy safely.
Please show consideration for other users of our picnic, educational and contemplation areas, always leaving them as you would wish to find them.
Our Woodland Code is a basic guide which we ask visitors to read and respect, for the enjoyment of all.
Take only memories and leave only footprints.
FOREST SCHOOL
Forest School is a child-
Crick Primary School Reception love going to Forest School, held weekly in the Woodlands. Some of the things enjoyed are bark and leaf rubbing, swinging in the hammock, making potions, lying on the ground and appreciating the world around us, making dens, digging in and rolling down the compost heap, using loppers and secateurs safely to cut branches, making tipis for woodland creatures and playing lots of games! The children have become more and more confident as the weeks have gone on.
DUKE of EDINBURGH AWARDS
Recognising the benefits of the Duke of Edinburgh award scheme, local young people are encouraged to participate in activities around the woodlands.
Duke of Edinburgh award schemes include various levels of volunteering activities, examples of which may include litter picking, surveying and recording plant, tree and insect life, improving onsite bug hotels within the woodlands.
